How To Restore Your Childs Doll Hair

We all have that special little someone who has a doll or toy with hair that they just can’t part with. Eventually, that hair gets crazy, tangled, and completely un-brushable. In just a few steps you can completely transform that tangled mess into the hair your child loves!

Step One: Gather your child’s doll and fabric softener.

You will also need one to two combs, a bowl, and a measuring cup filled with warm to hot water.

Step Two: Fill a large measuring cup with warm to hot water. In a bowl, fill partly with water and half a cup of fabric softener. Mix together with a spoon.

Start with ½ of the cup, adding more as needed.

Step Three: Place the doll (Or just the hair if it’s a fabric doll) in the mixture and allow to soak for a few minutes.

Step Four: Comb through hair while in the mixture. Comb slowly starting at the head, or tail. This will take a few minutes to get all of the small tangles out.

Step Five: Rinse hair in warm water (in the measuring cup) and re-comb. It should be extremely easy to comb through the hair at this point.

Step Six: Allow hair to air dry completely. Watch your child celebrate as their favorite toy is brought back to life!
